Some slight spoilers in this review...
Sigh. I really wanted to like this book, but honestly felt it drag so much and I got RSI from eye-rolling.
Things I liked: gender-fuckery, sex positivity, the soundtrack (thank you to the person on Spotify who made a playlist)
Things I disliked: Paul. Massively. His obsession with labels, coolness and horrendous stereotypes of different queer groups. The fact that nothing really happens. Yes, you move from place to place and fuck a hundred people. And then what?
I saw lots of people say that this book was fun and witty. I just didn’t get that. It reminded me of all the try-hard white boys I went to university with, the dressing a certain way to seem cool, the lying about yourself to impress someone you want to date, the “name five of their albums” response to you saying you liked a cool band. And Jane! Poor Jane. Get a better best friend. One that gives a crap about you in the slightest.
