emotional informative reflective slow-paced

On the one hand, I appreciate that this is a story that is dear to the author. On the other hand, I'm not sure the solution would actually solve the child's problems. I feel this is a book the author wrote as therapy, rather than a book that a child would relate to.
lighthearted fast-paced

I didn't love this. Not sure exactly why, it just didn't hit right.
informative slow-paced

On the one hand, it's a true story and I appreciate that. On the other, it rides the line on using disability as inspiration porn. It doens't quite do that but...still makes me uncomfortable iwth how close it is.
emotional inspiring lighthearted medium-paced

Sweet book about making new friends. Not as practical as I expected, which is both good because that makes it a stronger story, and not great as it makes it less easy to hand to parents.

Too anxiety inducing. I will say that it's depicted quite well!
informative

I love that the mushrooms are accurately depicted.

Solid book about feeling out of place and being included. A little wordy.
funny informative lighthearted

Would be even better if it included non-human skulls, but I'm looking forward to reading it with kids in October!

I love that it includes archaeans.
