I really enjoyed this book. Thomas is a man that experienced life as a woman, and now as a man, and he has a very interesting perspective on what manhood is - I especially liked his insight into male violence, etc. It was a great book, quick read, very good writer. Thomas is amazing, and courageous!

I was a little suspicious of a book about rape written by two men, but wow, this was good! It was written in a journalistic story style, so it was very easy to read and entertaining - it wasn't dry with lots of facts and such. At first I thought it was going to be about false accusations, but it was actually just about one serial rapist and the stories of the women he hurt. Really good book, very entertaining, and its soon to be a Netflix show!!

My first James Baldwin book did not disappoint. I am sorry I haven't read any of his work until now. He's a talented writer, and I enjoyed the story (especially since it took place in Paris and France, my favorite place!). I enjoyed the story of an American gay man struggling with his sexuality in the 50's (I think?) in Paris. It's really sad that folks still don't feel confident enough to be themselves because of the way society judges them. Really good book, excellent read, I've got to read more of James Baldwin's work now!
