I am someone who doesn't read classics on my own very often so I had pretty low expectations going into this, but it was readable and engaging enough for me to read it in one morning. I knew enough about it going in that nothing was all that surprising, but I don't know if I would have enjoyed it if I didn't have some idea what to expect. I don't always do well with books that require the suspension of disbelief, but this worked for me. It also helped that it's very short and the writing is mostly straightforward and to the point instead of being longwinded. Overall, I enjoyed reading this book and it did make me think, but I don't know that it will have a lasting impact on me.
