It was like falling in love all over again for the first time. As the family adjusts they begin to see how strong they are as a unit and how much those around them depend on that strength.
Curran and Kate interact with a spicy banter and as equal partners even as they learn who they are, now they are no longer Beast Lord and Lady.
Fast-paced violence and various clues as to what will happen when Kate finally has to put down her Dad pepper the story as well as insight into certain parental relationships that would have peaked everyone's curiosity in previous books.
Overall a must read in the Kate Daniels series, which I personally hope neverrrr ends!

The problem with Nalini Singh is that she is not a cyborg who can churn these books out at a rate of two a week. Seriously that is my problem.
Sigh anyway, on to the book.
Naasir.
Nalini gave us a credible and meaty backstory that was worth the wait and built over the last 7 books. We learned who shaped his personality, why he is wild, and yet so protective and sweet with respect to his family.
The wonderful thing was as well, even though this was Naasir's book, we got important insight into other major characters, including Raphael his consort Elena, and of course our beloved Bluebell and Sparkle!
Other characters were touched on too and we begin to understand the ties that bind this extended family so strongly together.
Nalini has built us a world of beauty capable of harsh unforgiving punishments, but one we will always want to come back and be a part of.
This book is an important key to what comes next, which I suspect will blow all of our minds.
Fantastic book, and I await impatiently even more from this gifted author, who clearly loves to make me cry :)
