 The Tenant by McFadden
⭐️ Rating: 3.75/5 🔪

This one had me flipping pages fast! 😮‍💨
Plot twists? ✔️ Unexpected and juicy.
Main character? 😤 Couldn’t stand him from start to finish … yes, even when the book begged me to sympathize. NOPE. 🚫 💁🏽‍♀️

🏚️ A chilling setup with serious trust issues
🧠 Messes with your head in all the right ways
🫣 But sometimes felt like yelling at the characters… a lot.

🧩 Solid twists, but not quite a fave. Would recommend for fans of fast-paced thrillers who don’t mind a protagonist you’ll love to hate!

⭐⭐⭐½

A surprising little gem 💎 ! We Were Warned had a couple of great plot twists that kept me turning the pages ⏳ . The mystery 🔍 thriller vibes were solid, just spooky and suspenseful enough for a younger audience, and still entertaining as an adult reader.

It’s definitely a slow burn with no spice (like, at all), but that fits the tone. The romance is sweet and subtle, more background than focus.

I didn’t realize this was YA or possibly even middle grade when I picked it up, but I’m glad I gave it a shot. A perfect fast-paced afternoon read that doesn’t take itself too seriously but still delivers the thrills.

5 Star Review: A Must Listen Thriller! Afternoon read!!

Listen for the Lie was an absolute thrill from start to finish! ⚡️The plot was gripping and full of twists, keeping me guessing right up until the end (though I did manage to figure it out just before the reveal, so satisfying!). The characters were vivid and well developed, making it easy to get invested in their story.

What really set this apart was the audiobook 🎧 experience, multiple voice actors brought the narrative to life in such a dynamic way. It felt like I was right there with them listening to the podcast. This was a fantastic recommendation from my book bestie, and I’ll definitely be passing it on. A must listen for any mystery or thriller fan!

ook Review: The War of Two Queens by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️¾ (4.75/5)

Poppy is QUEEN and she is not here to play. This book brought the heat, the war, the drama, and the feels.

But let’s talk about it…
There were, like, 10 chapters that were basically back-to-back bonk fests and at a certain point I was like, we get it. There's only so many ways people can enthusiastically smush.

That said—the plot? The character growth? The tension? Absolutely delivered.

Can’t wait for the next book—give me more Poppy being a badass and less of Poppy being… well, on her back.

mysterious slow-paced

Rating: ★★★¾

Started off slow… like really slow 🐢. I felt like I had the plot figured out from page 10, and it took forever to really get going. But just when I was about to give up—bam! Plot twist! The mystery deepened, and it pulled me back in.

Perfect for fans of low-suspense, “who-done-it” style reads. Don’t expect a thriller, but if you like subtle clues and slow reveals, you might enjoy this one.

This book is everything — emotional, raw, and so beautifully real. Say You’ll Remember Me is a heartwarming ❤️ and heartbreakingly honest look at long-distance love and the sacrifices it takes to make a relationship truly work.

Abby Jimenez doesn’t give you a fairytale — she gives you life. The ups and downs, the hard choices, the messy middle — all of it. Nothing is sugar-coated, and that’s what makes it so powerful ✨.

The characters? So well written, you feel like you know them. Their struggles are real, their emotions hit deep, and their journey will absolutely stay with you 💭.

If you’ve ever loved someone from a distance 🌍, dealt with tough life stuff, or had to fight to keep love alive — this book will speak straight to your heart 💌.

It’s not just a love story, it’s a reminder that real love takes effort, sacrifice, and heart — and that’s what makes it worth it.

Highly recommend if you’re looking for a romance that makes you feel — not just swoon.

The Coworker Rating: ★★★½

The Coworker was a wild ride from start to finish 🔄. It had all the suspense and drama I’ve come to expect from this author, but honestly, it felt a bit too chaotic at times 🤯. There was so much going on, it almost felt like two different books mashed into one 📚.

The twists kept coming 🔍, and the characters were interesting, but the story didn’t always feel cohesive. I found myself getting a little lost in all the drama ⚡. That said, I was still hooked and flew through it because I needed to know how it ended ⏳.

This isn’t my favorite from this author, but I’m still a fan and glad I read it ✅. If you like your thrillers fast, messy, and full of surprises, this one might be for you.

Daisy Darker by Alice Feeney – ⭐️⭐️⭐️¾
I figured out who did it pretty early on 🕵🏽‍♀️, but wow—I did not see that plot twist coming 🧩. That twist alone bumped this book from a 3.25 to a solid 3.75 for me ⭐️. It pulled everything together in a way I wasn’t expecting, and things that felt a bit off earlier suddenly made sense 🏚️.
The ending wrapped up really nicely ☠️, and I’m genuinely happy I stuck with it 📖. A dark, twisty ride worth the read!

The Escape Room by Megan Goldin is a psychological thriller that kept me hooked from start to finish. While it didn’t win in the genre battle, the first three chapters were enough to pull me in, and I couldn’t wait to dive back into it once the battle was over. 🕵️‍♀️🔒
I gave this book 4 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐ because it had me on the edge of my seat, eagerly wanting to know what would happen next every time I had to put it down. The dual timelines, though a bit confusing at times, weren’t frustrating — instead, they deepened the mystery and kept me engaged. It was like piecing together a puzzle, and I loved every moment of it! 🧩
Goldin does a fantastic job building suspense and keeping the pacing tight. The way everything wrapped up was satisfying and well-executed, tying up all the threads in a clever and unexpected way. If you’re into psychological thrillers that keep you guessing, The Escape Room is definitely worth the read. 🔍
