I was so excited to read this book but unfortunately it's a DNF for me. I think I wanted it to be Buffy which is what let me down. I did not feel any connection towards the main character and din't care about the store.

DNF at 20%

To be honest, I honestly think I'm in shock after that ending - speechless

Oh My Gods...she's done it again

Okay. I need One Apocalyse like now. Paca is as awesome as ever, and I can't wait for book four.

Really enjoyed, intrigued about several factors and can't wait to read more of the hilarious and obviously tortured beautiful boy Will.

Brb - dead. In a state of awe. Cannot wait for The Wicked Powers!

How bloodydamn epic was this book? Seriously in awe of Pierce Brown's writing. Cannot wait to read Morning Star, and can't believe how long I waited to read this series - it's blown me away.

Book Review: Variant Lost: The Evelyn Maynard Trilogy - Part One by Kaydence Snow

Eve Blackburn has never stayed in one place for any longer than a year, life for her and her mother is a life on the run - and Eve doesn't understand why. Her mother actively discourages Eve from forming any friendships and we start off Variant Lost on Eve's seventeenth birthday, when her mother discovers that she has formed friendships and has a boyfriend, so to Eve's frustration her mother uprootes them once again, planning to fly halfway around the world to get them away.

Nothing quite goes to plan, and a year later Eve, now effectively orphaned, receives an invitation to attend an exclusive Variant orientated college on a full scholarship - she jumps at the chance. Eve has always been interested in the science behind the Variants, who are a bit like enhanced humans (I likened them to X-Men in my head) who can have a range of different powers.

Eve quickly forms a friendship with with her roommates, or The Reds as she calls them due to their hair colour and then she begins to draw the attention of a few Variants including Tyler, who can tell if you're lying, and Kid, a well known womaniser and fire wielder.

Variant Lost is a sort of sci-fi/supernatural YA reverse harem and I absolutely loved it. It's very readable and I was so intrigued, and can't wait to read more about Eve and her Bond and upcoming challenges after that ending! I've tried not to say too much because who doesn't hate spoilers, but I'd definitely recommend this book - it's also available on Kindle Unlimted.
