OK...so Tempe #21. I love Tempe. I love Reichs. I love the anthropological/pathology side of the story, but this one just felt a bit flat. Maybe it was the rehashing of old cases. The shortness of the book, or the fact that I guessed who the big bad was about 100 pages in? Not sure.

Just fell flat for me unfortunately, especially after what felt like a very long wait for this installment.

Set in the immediate aftermath of an ambiguous world ending event - the book predominantly follows Ruth, a woman who landed in NZ mere hours prior to the event who manages to survive, even thrive, on the barren wasteland we call Earth.

Highly recommend.

I enjoyed this. Not my usual type of read, but still kept me reading. Liked the relationship between Mary and Sherlock. Probably won't continue with the series though.
