another 3 from me but a low three..
it was ok.. again all the books im reading recently are ok but i know they are gonna be mid going into them. 

no evil lesbians this time so thats a plus. (not counting the kiss between the wife and mc.. they weren't evil but the man possessing one of them was!) 
the twists.. there were so many twists. i thought they were fun but got kinda bored as they were happening i guess. AGAIN not reallllllyyyy following along because im doing other stuff but i got the gist. 
i liked how many times i was second guessing myself, i liked the twists, i liked telling my girlfriend what was happening andddddd idk i think that was it LOL
it was mid and the audiobook kinda sucked
it felt like so much happened but also nothing happened. i seriously cant remember A LOT of the book just the twists. 

i want to read more from this author because of how popular he is, i just hope they are better than this one was. and this wasn't HORRIBLE i didn't think it was terrible it was just O K. 

haunted lake, serial killer husband, hot neighbor, possible neighbor husband trying to kill his wife and the mc watching. 
serial killer husband drowning in said lake and possessing neighbor wife AND THEN after saving neighbor wife from serial killer husband possession, neighbor wife's husband WAS trying to kill her all along?  i guess..

overall just incredibly ok. at first i was not interested at all but after reading for a couple chapters i wanted to know what the fuck was gonna happen. the audiobook was really good. at some points (my fault ) i kinda got confused when it would switch from the doc back to the 'current' time but it was still easy to follow. had 0 expectations and it was def interesting. 

there were a lot of weird things going on.... the pfd file being a victim like he wasnt 45 and she was 13 hello. i was waiting for another twist where they reveal he has some type of benjamin button disease and thats why everyone was OK with him being a pedo but no. like obviously alix was against it BUT DID NOTHING? nobody did a thing omg.. josies mom i do not like u. ur daughter was crazy whatever but how r u gonna let her 'steal' ur bf SHES 12 AND THEN BLAME HER AND NOT WONDER WHY UR BF WANTED UR 13 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER THEN HE ACTUALLY MARRIED HER?!!!!! british people r crazy.

i liked the podcast/ netflix stuff it was cool
i was the most interested in the josie erin roxy thing i wish it was more more abt that. i mean it literally was but i wish it was more.

read this in 2 sittings while playing mc so maybe if i was physically reading the whole time i would have been moreeee engaged but it wasnt bad it was good just good not incredible just good.
if this was an actual netflix show i think i would really enjoy it, it was giving baby reindeer a little bit.

and omg ANOTHER evil lesbian what is going on.... 2 evil lesbians in a row this is so weird...

OVERALL THUMBS UP it was okayyyyy i wasnt shocked by any twists and i didnt feel like dnfing at any point yippee

i wish we got different perspectives cuz they were a little boooorrrringggggg especially leo i did not gaf he read like a incel omg he was pmo bad. the mom was pmo too like omg just turn urself in without telling her. you are able to lie to people its not that hard... but sorry queen rip.
ALSO wish we got more delilah/whatever her name was bcz THAT was more interesting than stupid leo.
i was gagging tho when i thought back to them investigating the disappearance and realized bea was just there the entire time and she let her wife do all that nasty gyno shit while knowing he didn't do ANYYYYTHINGGGGGGG LIKE OMG GIRL gross gross gross
lesbians aren't evil unless its like fantastical then its fine OTHERWISE its ILLEGAL!!
...but i would have really liked beas pov throughout the initial disappearance investigation... oh well!
if my gf did this to me i would kms what do u mean u killed two people and kept one of their daughters in our garage for 12 years..... HUH

it was my airplane audiobook for like 3 weeks so i wasn't THAT invested
never really bored but it wasn't super interesting
the first twist was good but then it was just blah
the end was kinda really super stupid
the mc was also dumb bcs wtf was the whole point of anything she did...

set up another girl and then realized what she was did was wrong when it was too late ?!?!?! lame
