The main character was so insufferable for the first 70% of this book and then the love interest who I had liked the entire time, made a really weird choice so I didn't like another 10% of the book when that misunderstanding was being untangled...so I like the 20% left over, the setting, and the fact that the friend who let me use her audible account to listen to this really liked it so we got to talk about it. Having a friend to read a book with covers a multitude of annoyances.
Like a millennial fantasy radio show, but it couldn't decide if it was for adults or kids. Genuinely thought Sean Astin was Patton Oswald the entire time I listened so that was a very strange experience. I smiled a lot at the dumb jokes and didn't hate it. Felicia remains queen of the nerds.
