I think most of the Davenport books are my “favorite” of the series, after I have read them. They are great easy-reads, and follow similar plot lines.
The last 2 paragraphs of this book are fantastic. The set-up from prior books in the Davenport series makes the comedic exchange perfection.

So... because I liked Pretty Girls, I grabbed this gem off the shelf. #1- HOW DID I NOT KNOW THIS WAS PART OF A SERIES?! And #2- I NEED TO READ THEM ALLLLL. This book was fantastic as a stand-alone story, I didn’t feel the need for more back story and I felt like the characters developed enough to keep it interesting all the way through.
If you have never read a Will Trent book, you can absolutely still immensely enjoy this one!!! Slaughter is becoming one of my favorites...
