I went into this with the expectation of, surely this can't be worse than the first book. My issues with the first book were that Brighton made me want to rip my hair out, and the world felt like I should have already known how it all worked and I simply didn't.

So I figured, Brighton can't possibly be worse, and the world can't possibly get more clusterfucked with the social media and fantasy elements. Surely!

I was so wrong it hurts.

Brighton in this book is so incredibly unbearable that when the ending happened I laughed, so unsurprised with this turn of events. The characters in this book are flat, and I couldn't find it in me to give a single fuck about what happened to any of them.

I was switching between ebook and audiobook for the last 10% because I just wanted to finish it, but I couldn't convince my brain to muster up ANY amount of care for what happened.

If you are going into this expecting it to be better than Infinity Son, just don't. You'll be disappointed.

this rating would be higher but why did the panther get a POV
