I feel strange about a coming of age book written about a gay male, by a straight(?) female. It didn't sit right with me. Aside from that, none of the characters grow to become better people. They just...are miserable the entire book and stay miserable. It feels like no lessons were learned.

I feel like maybe some things got lost in the German to English translation in that I had to regularly go back a few pages to try and make sense of what was going on. This book feels a bit like it's the second or third in a series, and I wish I had had more back story.

Aside from those quips, I did enjoy the spookiness of the story and the zombies, and the growth of Vivi and Eva in this short novel.

Adrien is the worst.

I was so in deep in this story and it just ended and now I’m super sad. The characters in this book are fun and their personalities were great. The conflicts in the comic were really well done, and I am super pumped for more from this series.
