I just know Tom would love Letterboxd

I absolutely loved the metatextual elements of the book. I loved how the narrator kept oscillating between revealing her true feelings and trying to cover up the truth (although both were entirely subconscious). The unreliable narrator of it all was great. I loved that the narrator would sometimes say true things, like that it is actually okay for people to write about people from different cultures, but she still managed to twist it to fit her self-serving narrative. Overall, an absolutely masterful work.
informative inspiring medium-paced

A brilliant book, but I didn’t love how the translation americanised the text.

Really demonstrates the problems of trying to create a non-capitalist country within a capitalist world.
