I read this fanfic 8 years ago and while I love it (and a lot of the scenes in it replaced memories of the actual book), it is undoubtedly not as good as Rick's ending. A perfect book would probably have scenes from this and scenes of the actual book and obviously my own edits.

Coming back to this book is a whole different type of nostalgia. I love these characters so much but I have so many ideas on how their story could be better. No matter all that though, because God I love these three so much. Jason isn't boring, he's complicated and I love him and he TRULY LOVED Piper, fight me. Leo is my sweet baby I love him and he deserves the world, not Calypso 🤮 (no offense, just tired of immortals and mortals being together). And Piper, oh my lord Piper my love (though the unnecessary misogyny is terrible, I love Drew). Gahhhh I love them. Oh and the FORESHADOWING, I love it truly chef's kiss.
