This was the Schitt's Creek inspired rom-com I never knew I needed! I love that Tessa decided to write a HEA for Alexis, and the execution was simply the best.

It Happened One Summer is a super steamy rom-com with the perfect chemistry. I absolutely loved every second of this book and flew through it in a single day. From being set in a small fishing town in the Pacific Northwest, to the unapologetic socialite, Piper, this rom-com was full of heart, snark and laugh out loud moments. I highly recommend this to any typical rom-com lover as well as anyone who just loved the Roses and needs more of their antics in your life.

And I can't wait to see more of Hannah's story!

Love Scenes is a Hollywood romance where Hollywood is the family business. This second chance coworker romance was filled with drama with some steamy scenes and you can find other content warnings below. I really enjoyed this book and would definitely read more rom-coms from this author!

I have to admit, I struggled to write a review for this book. On the one hand it was a fun and quick read. I enjoyed the premise, with the almost bachelorette like feeling, back and forth between which man she would ultimately end up with.

But I think what I liked about it also made way for the problems. While it was overall entertaining, it was also a bit one dimensional. The scenes with the other two men sort of fell flat, which in all honesty may have been the point. We probably weren't supposed to fall in love with them as much... but it certainly would have made the will-they-won't-they more interesting if readers were a bit more invested in the characters.

I really wasn't a fan of the friend dynamic in this book either. It was the catalyst for the main plot, I get that. So it was necessary for some of it to happen. But again, it didn't feel natural at all, it just felt forced and underdeveloped.

Overall, this was a fun read and I would recommend it to readers looking for a quick and light romcom with some elements of the marriage of convenience trope.

I haven't yet read a book by Avery Flynn or Tracy Woff that i didn't thoroughly enjoy. Back in the Burbs is no exception... I adored this book and finished it in a day. From the banter between Mallory and Nick to the slow burn romance, I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good laugh out loud rom-com.

I absolutely loved this book! I devoured it on my Kindle from the library but to read it once wasn't enough. I had to get the book in hardcover as well, to read and reread whenever I desire.

Once I started reading I was totally hooked. It was an immersive experience and I loved the strength Alosa demonstrated, but also the vulnerability she feels toward her siren side. The relationship between Alosa and Riden was wonderfully written and felt very natural. There is an undeniable attraction but they have each perceived the other as the enemy for so long that it's not an insta-love situation nor does it feel forced.

Tricia has been quickly added to my list of auto-buy authors, and I can't wait to read more!

This was a decent enough rom com, but it’s not my favorite. I found Kate to be very grating with her very close-minded party-centric world view but did appreciate the personal growth she showed by the end of the book. I did, however, love Ben and he was the reason I was able to make it through the whole book without DNF.

I have very mixed feelings about To Sir, With Love. On the one hand, it was a super sweet (clean) romance, a retelling of You've Got Mail and it's predecessors. Gracie has a wonderful character arc as she realizes that she's not getting what she wants out of life. And I love the supportive family that are the Coopers.

But I didn't really get what I wanted out of this book... the chemistry between Sebastian and Gracie always seemed like it was just right there, on the verge of something great. But it never really crossed over into the "Wow" territory. And the characters, other than Gracie, all seemed a little too one-dimensional. Again, the potential was there and it felt as though the next time you turn the page there's going to be that satisfaction of getting more... more character development, more chemistry, just... more of everything.

I'm not even upset that it's a clean romance, but there are plenty of other clean romances that make you feel that chemistry and charged energy between the love interests without taking it all the way. But this one just left me feeling like they were 15 years old on opposite sides of the gym at a school dance.

If you're looking for a quick and easy, clean romance to read at the beach, I would highly recommend this one. There is nothing heavy about this book - it's short, sweet, and almost exactly what you expect out of a Hallmark Christmas movie (minus the Christmas setting).

Why did I fight Historical Romances for so long? This was a fantastic book and the start of what I can only imagine will be a great series. I loved that this was a light and humorous read - I'd classify it as a rom-com of Historical Romance. I'm definitely going to be reading the entire Tessa Dare backlist now!

This is the second in the series by one of my new favorites, Tessa Dare. I loved this one as well and I think I may have found my new go-to genre!
