Very much a smut with light plot book, but it was good if that's what you're in the mood for. It was a quick read and it's hard to find why-choose baseball sports romances. So it fit the bill for my mood reading!

Well, I've read 2 by this author now and... she's just not for me.

I listened to the audio for the majority of this one, and surprisingly, it wasn't my favorite. Tate's audiobooks are generally sooooo good, and while this one was duet narration like the Shadow Grove series, there was just something about the male narrator especially that I didn't love.

Once I switched over to reading the book on kindle though, I really started to fall in love with the characters and the story more. As is her usual MO, there was an enormous cliffy at the end of this one, but fortunately I was reading the "complete series" and just kept right on flipping the pages without pause... and let me tell you, you're going to want to do the same!!

This book is not really spicy, but I would anticipate that changing as the series progresses.

This series is one of my faves that I've read in a while! I absolutely love it and the ending was perfection. This is a long book, but I didn't feel that it was "too long" like I have with some of the ZA books. I really think there's something to be said for a "shorter" series like this.

This was not my favorite in the ZA series... honestly, that probably goes to the first few books. This one was good, it progressed the story, but not enough actually happened for how many pages it contains. This is a looooooong and drawn out way of giving us 300 pages worth of really good content, in my opinion. That said, you can't continue the series without it, so be prepared to get a little long in the tooth around the middle portion especially. I said what I said...

Rourke and Violet have been my favorite ever since I started the Cambric Creek series. I can't even express how excited I was to get Rourke's POV for the story. I loved everything about this book and Rourke. Now I just need to figure out how to tandem read it with MGMF!
