It pains me to rate a book this low by an author that I generally enjoy. But unfortunately between the format (back and forth between present day and flashbacks to their past together) and the fact that the FMC was completely selfish and gaslighting the MMC, I couldn't even finish this one.

The format is definitely more of a me problem - it was well written and flowed nicely, I just really can't stand that format as it pulls me out of the story every time I get into, making me shift time periods and figure out what was going on before we were so rudely interrupted by the other time period.

Ok, I like a good smutty read as much as the next smut-reader... However, about 60% into the book I was a little over the smut and ready for some actual plot, which was completely missing. Now if that's what you're looking for, have at it! Great read! But I think I've read too much smut-without-plot lately or something, because I ended up skipping to the last chapter and epilogue to see how it played out in the end, as that's really all I cared about by this point.

This was a super cute, super fast Christmas read with the classic Grinch-elf (grumpy-sunshine) trope. Add in brother’s best friend and you’ve got the recipe for perfection. I really enjoyed this one, and admit, I did have some feels too. But overall it was just a really fun holiday read.

This was a mostly great conclusion to an amazing series. But I admit, the ending felt a bit rushed, in both pacing and the fact that I felt like there was so much missing that could have made this a 5 star read. I can't explain this further without spoilers, but suffice it to say I just wanted more... it was still a fantastic read and I did love everything that wrapped up. I will keep going back to this series (and audio) for rereads as it is probably my fave PNR RH series to date!
