Oomph that ending, and sweet baby angel Finn! This family is also so weird and I love them so much. Vincent is the best for sure, I mean a pet goat who they take on walks and literally everywhere with them? Perfect


May 2024 audiobook and reread: 

Landon and Finn have been best friends since childhood. Finn's been there for Landon through everything, even Landon's accident. Lately the touchy-feely friendship they've always had has felt a little different to Landon, creating feelings more than just friends have for each other. 

I'm not going to lie, I think I enjoyed this the first time I read it more. I just wasn't really feeling it this time around. Landon got on my nerves a bit and Finn's personality was the fact he's always loved and pined for Landon. But they were cute and there were some surprisingly steamy moments. I'm also a sucker for some codependency and they're the epitome of that. 

I think their family is super fun and adorable, if there are no boundaries. And I actually did like the flashbacks that showed the formation of Landon and Finn's relationship. The two books in the series are sweet, low angst romances that are a nice palate cleanser and light entertainment.

I just like how all these characters Cora Rose writes are slightly unhinged, the main premise is a little crazy but that's normal with this author. Characters adorable as always and entertaining writing

October 2023 Reread: 
4⭐️ 3🌶️

A typical Cora Rose romance with low angst, laughs, over the top moments, and fun characters. The audio book was an easy and quick listen. 

Logan is a star jock (water polo) who needs tutoring to keep his scholarship. This story starts on an iffy note where Theo basically tells Logan that in order to get tutoring services, he has to sleep with him. Logan does agree to this, and it's the start of his sexual awakening. While Logan is interested and says it's ok, the first few times do feel a little weird. Obviously real feelings start to develop but it was definitely a choice to start their romance with blackmail. 

Their relationship definitely has a weird start, but as they spend more time together Logan starts to see a softer side of Theo. Theo has all the walls and doesn't make it easy. It makes sense with his past, but Logan is such a genuinely good guy I wish Theo go it together sooner. Logan is so patient and kind, which is really what Theo needs. As Theo lets Logan in, he gives him the same kind of love and support.

I wish the sports theme was used a little more, it kind of falls off after the beginning. I liked the characters and Logan's family is a lot of fun. I would recommend if you want a light, spicy read with some laughs.

It was a little slow to start but the second half upped my rating from 4 to 5 stars. If you don't like a little cheesy tad over the top sweetness, this author isn't for you

May 2024 reread: 

In order to grow closer with his son Emmet, Luke starts volunteering for Emmet's football team with Emmet's best friend's Super Dad, Landon. As Luke's friendship with Landon grows, his son finally starts opening up to him too. Suddenly Luke finds his feelings for Landon aren't all platonic, having the potential to wreck his first true friendship and his delicate relationship with Emmet. 

Luke and Landon are so dang sweet, as usual for Tal. Luke has been struggling for years, even before the loss of his wife, with his place in the world and what he wants as an individual and not just a father. Landon brings some light back into his life by just being his friend, giving him support as a fellow single dad and inspiring his artistic soul. They have an easy friendship and Luke regards Landon so highly. Their romantic relationship is a slow burn but is built on this deep respect and love for one another. They're a couple that's truly meant to be despite what it took to get there. 

This isn't just a romance, but also a story of a father and a son. So many moments broke by heart. Luke was trying so hard to be a better dad and reconnect with Emmet while also crawling out of his depression. They both suffered emotional trauma from the sudden loss in their lives and are trying to adjust in the ways they know how. All the love for Landon and his son Bowen, who are just two exceptional characters that helped Luke and Emmet when it was needed the most. 

This book hit me in the feels on my reread just as much as it did the first time around. I loved all the small, perfect moments between Luke and Landon. Tal writes of love as its own deep, all consuming, fragile emotion in all of his books and it gets me every time.
