Overall: A very cute, sweet, if not predictable romance. Easy and fun!

•minor spoilers•

Characters: Sweet characters, I'm always down for a cute, shy nerd and a guy who worships the ground he walks on.

Plot: The plot was mainly their relationship, the one conflict was very obvious and quickly resolved. They have a cute, sweet build up with very low angst.

Writing: easy to follow, if not a little repetitive at times. The amount of times that Caleb giggled had me rolling my eyes.

Overall: I was excited to figure out that this was Skyler's (from Insatiable) book! A sweet second chance romance between two friends, and all things maple. What's not to love? Loved their story and reconnection, definitely a favorite in the series.

Characters: I was not disappointed in finally getting Skyler's story. Even with everything he was struggling with and the disappointments he went through, he was still a sunshiney character and I loved it. Second chance romances aren't my favorite, and I know why Judson left but it was still sad. He did need to go through everything to come back though because I don't think they would've had the same type of relationship without what he did for himself in France.

Plot: This was a book where I randomly checked in to see where I was and was surprised I was already halfway through. The romance is a slow burn for sure, but once it happens it's pretty hot and heavy. I expected the tv show to be more of a plot line but it worked how it was. I thought it could've used more but I always think that with books I like and characters want more of!

Writing: Loved the style, easy to read and follow, good mix of dialogue and inner thoughts. Definitely going to look into more of this authors works.

Overall: I really enjoyed this book. The characters had good chemistry right from the start which made you want to root for them. Endearing story, and has a cute dog.

Characters: I really liked Sean, I thought he was endearing and I was rooting for him. You could tell he was struggling and the whole time I just wanted to make sure he got the resolution he deserved! I wish there was more Cooper. He was a perfect partner for Sean but the book was really focused on Sean's issues more so than Cooper. I'm also going to need to figure out if Richie has/is getting a book because I need to know more of that story.

Plot: This book tackles some pretty big issues in a shorter book. They obviously could've been delved into a bit more but I thought it was a good amount of angst and struggle for the length of the story. There are some side characters from the author's other books that play a pretty heavy role. If I was more into this author before this I would've probably tried to read Troy and Dmitri's story before, because going back now would just make me want to yell at him to pay attention to Sean.

Writing: As a whole, I really enjoyed the authors style. It was easy to read and kept my attention. As someone who grew up around southern and Appalachian accents I personally like it when I can read the accents through the pages, and you could here. My issues come with some context editing. Just like are they in a car? Parking? One part I swore they parked like three times already. It's just distracting. I also thought the middle was a little bit of a lull. There was some foreshadowing for Sean's issues, but the pace went from pretty good to just slow before picking back up at the end.
