A heartwarming holiday shortie with endearing characters and a sweet romance.

Trying to move on from a shitty abusive boss, Ian reluctantly makes plans to move from London. He covers one last shoot for his old boss (and ex) and meets Guy, a food critic with a reputation of making or breaking restaurants. As Ian spends his last month working as Guy's photographer, he starts to see what's behind the arrogant mask and their attraction grows. But Ian's leaving, as much as he wants to stay in London, and the clock is slowly counts down on their time together.

Ian and Guy have an unlikely but genuine connection. They have honest, meaningful conversations and that spark of chemistry from their very first meeting. Ian is still mentally recovering from his last job and relationship, and Guy couldn't be more different than his ex. He's encouraging and guiding, helping without expectations and because he genuinely cares. Guy, still processing loss, finds hope that he can move on and find joy in his life again with Ian. They have a great back and forth, pushing each other but in a supportive way.

I love the setting of Christmas in London, it's not something I usually read. And all of the side characters were just delightful. While I liked the characters and the story, I'm not sure I love the writing style. I think it's just a personal taste thing. This is my first book by this author, but I'm definitely reading the next because Seb and Patrick seem so cute. Ready for more London at Christmas!
