This was just what I needed right now, the perfect mix of angst and romance and all the feelings. I loved both these characters and just wanted to give them all a big hug.

These guys...Anson had my heart hurting. He made me tear up so many times. I just wanted to hug him and tell him it'll all be okay. I love West's love for him, and how understanding he was. They just had that kind of relationship that you knew was it. It was supportive and loving, and even with the slow start with texts and calls you could really connect with them.

I'm not normally a fan of all the plot and events taking place over so many months, but it worked here. I think because the characters were just so good you didn't feel like you missed any of their connection. I was so nervous about Anson coming out without meaning to, and his story of coming out to his family had me tearing up. The plot was really focused on Anson and his acceptance of who he is and how West helped him and supported him, but also how West's experience was the flip side of not having that support.

Sometimes for me this author can get a little bogged down with internal feels and monologues in her writing, but this is my favorite of hers by far. It was written well and if I could I would've sat in bed and read it straight through. Looking forward to the next!

This was pretty cute overall. Madden and Penn are best friends who start to explore a new side to their relationship. Madden has crushed on Penn forever, and Penn is just realizing his sexuality. Their lives are so interconnected it was interesting to see how they establish new boundaries and priorities with the changes in their dynamic.

I liked Penn because he was so supportive of Madden in everything he did, whether it be his nudist lifestyle or taking his career in a new direction. I didn't think his insecurities about his place in Madden's life were unwarranted either, but that might've been because I wasn't a huge Madden fan. I don't doubt Madden loves Penn but he never really showed it and constantly put himself before Penn's needs. He did at least recognize this and they were able to work towards a more respectful and equally supportive relationship, plus they had a sweet happy ending.

I've really loved all the books in the Accidental Love series, especially the last two. Unfortunately, Madden never really intrigued me and I was a little let down by his story. It was fine overall, but it just read a lot like a novella. Not a lot of depth with their relationship and I never really felt invested with the characters. Despite all this, the story was entertaining and an easy read. I'm very interested in Lana and her whole story. She was a really fun addition and I loved her quirkiness.

I've been looking forward to Xander's story for a while and I'm hoping it's more like the previous books in the series!
