while informative, the tone of the book was just way too informal. the attempts at humour definitely took away from the depth of the subject and made it  difficult to read. 

fell a bit short 

i did enjoy it, but the way we just pretended that it was normal for all these men to be in love w a mentally ill 15 year old was weird.

this book would literally be perfect if it left out the modern perspective which felt completely rushed and random at points. i understand what it was trying to do, but it felt way too forced 

gave me a lot to think about
