I really hate the way the narrator is doing Saphira’s voice so I’m going to DNF the audiobook and restart the ebook or paperback…

A lot of the trigger warnings I’ve listed are historic, but they deeply affect the FMC and are in her narrative regularly.

I was frustrated by
the MCs’ lack of communication and the heavy use of misunderstanding
and I really disliked the focus on
getting the FMC pregnant and how that was handled (the epilogue was unnecessary, imo, but that’s a personal thing ig)
. All in, the was a decent read. I enjoyed most of it, even if my entire heart and soul rebelled at the “you’re my wife, I’m in charge” thing. I did buy the 2nd in the series, but I’m not sure I want to read it right away. I’ve gotten accustomed to Slavik and Aurora, and, while Adelaide seems fine, I’m on the fence about her MMC counterpart.

I enjoyed this autobiography a lot! I wasn’t especially familiar with Susan Calman’s work as a comedian but I had seen her on TV a few times and was interested in hearing her story. She has a great sense of humour - quite relatable in a lot of ways! Her approach to life and its hurdles was talked about in a fairly fun way which didn’t leave me feeling worse than when I started. This is something I appreciate when there is a large focus on mental health.

I loved the audiobook for Howl’s Moving Castle - the narrator did an excellent job!
The story was funny and cosy, which was perfect for listening late in the day in autumn. Sophie was such a great character - I felt like I could really root for her. Howl was different to how I expected, but in a good and fun way. And of course, Calcifer and Michael were great too!
I’ll definitely be reading/listening to this one again!

I listened to the audiobook version and I feel like this helped a lot bc the narrator is amazing but also has very specific voices for each character, so it was easier to tell who was who.
I definitely enjoyed Nona the Ninth. It was really interesting to see the other characters from Nona’s point of view. I loved figuring out who was who when there were codenames etc being used.
I feel like I don’t fully understand everything that’s happened right now, but that feels like a given with this series!
In comparison, for me, Gideon the Ninth was a solid 5 star, Harrow the Ninth was more a 4 star.
