Okay I was blind-sided by a major part of the ending. I’m obsessed. That was such a rollercoaster omg. Horrifying and mystifying and I am reeling!!!

Once again, I’m asking myself why I waited so long to read this book! 

There were a few times during reading Water Moon where I thought I knew how things were going to play out in the scenario but I was very rarely completely correct and I really loved that. 
The characters were fun and true to themselves, there was a really great mix of threat and wonder and peace, there was a vague touch of insta-love between the MCs but I don’t mind that much at all, the world-building was fascinating and I could definitely read a dozen more like it! That last twist!!!!! Amazing. Yes. Again. 

Ugh I loved this book! It was tense and scary and fun and realistic in the right quantities at the right times. Great rep for a range of things - physical disabilities, chronic pain, neurodivergence, LGBT+ - as well as realistic portrayals of how people interact!! And the anatomy studies! The science! I’m in love 🥰 
My only regret is that I haven’t read anything by Seanan McGuire (aka Mira Grant) before. 

I finished this in two sittings - I feel like I sped through it! The conversational tone of the book made it very easy to read but I know

it also helped me take for granted the unreliable nature of the narrator.

Logically, I guess I knew that content moderators would see the absolute worst shit day in day out, but it’s just never really hit me like that. 

I need to scream incoherently for a little bit while I bask in the perfection of the last 10 chapters. The growth!! The sass!! The drama!!

I JUST WANT THEM TO BE HAPPY OMG. I know they’re terrible. I know they make each other worse. Stop Being Mean To Each Other!!!
I love it, I’m stoked there are (almost certainly?) gonna be more in the series, I’m looking forward to the emotional torment with dread.
