Cute, cute, cute! Love a good spicy romance with high representation for BIPOC and people with autism.
I really enjoyed this read, it gave me a good laugh from time to time and I felt all the happy butterflies at the end for our two protagonist. I can't wait to continue on with this series.

Josh and Lucy are two of the weirdest people I've ever read in a book, especially a romance...but somehow it just works! Their back and forth and all their little games come together to create this charming and funny little story. I laughed my way through and had a huge smile on my face the whole time. Light, breezy and just what I needed.

A slow burn and atmospheric thriller that kept me on the edge of my seat.

I had about a million guesses reading this on how it would end and they were all wrong. However after getting to the end and reflecting back, Ware does an incredible job laying all the peices out for you. It all comes together perfectly. A lot of thrillers aren't great for a second read but I think this one would be perfect.

With lots of spicy scenes with some plot sprinkled in, this was a quick read that left me questioning why the two MC's were in a relationship and if the Boss Babes were some kind of cult.

The potential for an interesting and different rom-com was so high with this but it fell flat. Trixie and Andre do not like each other, they fight/bicker all the time and not in a cute way, more of a "I can't stand you and we have fundamentally different beliefs," kind of way. Its a romance so
they end up together!

I thought the plot being focused around a sex positive woman would have been so cool and different but instead I felt like I was reading about a Millennial woman sucked into an MLM slinging sex toys and is now convinced its "saved her and changed her life."

The story finally started to get some where at the end when Trixie
was visiting her parents in the hospital. I thought the dialogue and development there was wonderful in contrast to the rest of the book. Those moments felt genuine and I wish everything proceeding that would have been written in a similar tone or sincerity.

Also with all of the food talk I was fully expecting a recipe in this book for the burnt rice thing. A bit disappointed it didn't lean into the food trope more.

The least thrilling thriller I've ever read. I almost DNF'd this but stuck with it because its such a short book.

It was a dark look into the influencer life, however there was a lack of plot and character development. The ending was so unsatisfying. Not a fan of the writing a style and will steer clear of this author duo in the future.

I should have loved this book, I am dead on the target audience for this. Same age, similar townie background, and in my ways I share some strong characteristics with Jo. However, this book fell flat in many ways. Let's pull a Jo and pro/con this:

Pros:
-Realistic depiction of life in your mid 20s. Figuring out a career, where to live, who to love, etc.
-The actual Throwback List was very fun and my favorite parts of the book were when the group would have to get together as a whole to complete one.
-Funny! Lots of jokes and humor that I enjoyed.

Cons:
-Massively underdeveloped characters. Jo and Bianca had the best development but it still wasn't great. Poor Autumn had nothing going for her. I couldn't connect with her as well because she wasn't a fully developed character. (I feel similarly about Flo and Birdy although they were side characters)
-Jo's relationship with her parents was very underdeveloped too and the payoff for it was lame and not satisfactory. She was so horrible to her family and for what!
-Jo's sexuality should have been touched on a bit more. Without spoiling anything, I was SOOOOO thrown off with one of the choices she made in the last couple of chapters.
-Unsatisfying ending. It was very relastic but unless the author is planning a follow up book, kind of a let down.

This book was spoiled for me before reading and I still loved it! It absolutely destroyed me and I sobbed like I was watching one of the saddest movies ever made but I still loved it. There is so much I want to say but it is so spoiler heavy, so I'll keep it as vague as possible. The premise and set up for this book is genius! A "dream" about 5 years in the future sets Dannies perfect life into a spin. The author throws the ending in your face in the first couple of chapters and you still end up captivated and desperate to know the journey. This was a beautiful depiction of friendship, love, a chosen family, and grief.

I just don't get this one. The author inserted himself into the story. It's all very meta and confusing. I want my thrillers captavating and this didn't grab my attention at all.

In just 3 hours time, I completed this book! I couldn't put this down for anything. I loved this way more than Rachel Hawkins last book The Wife Upstairs.
Pick this up if you want a quick adventurous beach read that features very strong female leads with a thirst for revenge.
