adventurous funny reflective fast-paced

I was hoping for a memoir about choosing to never get married or have kids and the adventures that they had and happiness they found in spite of that. However, this was more of a typical travel memoir, however written from the POV of an older Gen X/Younger Boomer, and you can tell! So many problematic views or comments on others cultures that you just wouldn't see in a recently published book. That aside, it was a funny, honest and adventurous book. Not exactly what I was looking for but it was a decent read.

This book was insanely mediocre. All summer 70's vibes and no real plot/story. It was supposed to be a coming of age story about a young girl Mary Jane, learning how to grow up and escape the very strict household she lives in. However, it just made me feel terrible for our main girl Mary Jane. Not only was she living in this strict overbearing home but she was also forced into this adult position of taking care of a young girl, being surrounded by wildly inappropriate adults, and being thrust into conversations and situations that weren't okay for her. It made me feel uncomfortable with the way Sheba and Jimmy acted around Mary Jane and both of the Cones'. Overall, it was just uncomfy and unsatisfying. However, the writing was great and Izzy was ADORABLE!

Cannot say much about this book without giving away so many plot points so I'll leave you with this, it was crazy! I thought I knew exactly where this was going and then I just didn't.

I've really enjoyed most of Sagers books, however it is weird to me that he insists on continuing to write from a woman's POV.

This was a very straight forward dual POV YA mystery. I can honestly say I didn't see the final twist at the end. I was hoping for something a bit more scandalous or thrilling, maybe more twists or inner circle conflict. I would recommend for anyone looking for a quick little read. I won't be continuing on with the series though, just not my cup of tea.

This book put me into a reading slump. I just struggled to get through it. I've read this whole series and I think it's all becoming just a bit too repetitive.

The story had lots of potential but there was a lot of time wasted on plot points that didn't move anything forward.

I loved Ben and his character felt very real. Anna was one of my least favorite characters in all of this authors books.

This is exactly what it says it is, a handbook regarding abortion, access to abortion, women's rights and healthcare in the US. I wouldn't say this is groundbreaking information and all of it can be found online. I would definitely suggest picking this up if you want to be an advocate for abortion rights, are pregnant, or are thinking of becoming pregnant in the near future.

Great concept, but I think it was overly written. This could have been a quick 100 pages or hour long podcast/audio book. I felt like the longer I listened the more the author repeat the same things over and over again. I will definitely re-evaluate the rituals I incorporate in my daily life and try to practice more mindfulness to bring meaning to my life.

It takes a special kind of person to write with this kind of raw honesty. Jenette McCurdy has shared the very emotional story of her life. Her writing is clever, witty and heartbreaking. Definitely check trigger warnings before picking up, because ouch some of these chapters hurt. However, I think it's an incredibly important read that sheds light on toxic family relationships, child abuse, eating disorders, and the child acting industry. Worth the read and I think it would be great for anyone who was a fan of her on iCarly but also those who may have never heard of Jenette McCurdy.

This was my first TJR book and what a ride that was!

My emotions were in a roller coaster from page to page. One minute I'm immersed into this love story, the next my heart is being ripped out of my chest, and then I'm feeling the warm fuzzies of sibling bonds.

Definitely a wild story that is about so much more than a party.

In my opinion Scarlett St. Clair writes the best Greek Mythology re-telling's. I am so impressed by the amount of research that goes into these smutty little fantasy novels.

I loved this book but I had a hard time getting into it because of the time between releases/reads and also the heavy topics addressed. I think the authors writing has improved a lot though. I really enjoy the Hades POV because it adds so many extra layers and understanding to Persophones POV.

My biggest complaint is the order in which these books are released and the time between. I think the final book of the series with dual POV will be released before the third Hades standalone which kind of ruins it a bit for me.
