I had so much hope for this but I found the horror lacking and the plot a bit nonsensical. I understand there was a lot of themes being explored and a greater message but I did feel like this fell flat. It could be the writing style.

Loved the beginning of this book, I was immediately hooked. However, around 50% through I lost all interest. It got way too confusing. I wasn't a huge fan of the multi POV without being clear who it is.

To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. This is the worst installment in this series. It was delayed too long which did not do it any favors. But I also did not enjoy the inclusion of new characters POV. The story is rich enough and has enough aspects going on, the addition felt unnecessary and just made the book drag on.
