Tried this as an audio book. Got lost.

I was so looking forward to this book for a fun summer mystery/thriller. I am sure the story is good. I cannot get into the writing. So much detail and not a fan of the 3rd person omniscient POV. Oh well.
SOOOOOO BORING!
I don't know, maybe I'll return to it at a later date. Just not my vibe right now.

Got through two short stories and was bored. Nothing was mysterious or thrilling and the writing was exhausting. Unhauling this book in the hopes that it finds a place with someone who loves these kind of stories.
Made it almost halfway through, the magic system made no sense and the fantasy was difficult to connect with. Will not be continuing.
I did not make it very far but I hated the writing. Read a few chapters and nothing happened. Plus a lot of unnecessarily details.
This was just not for me. I'm not the target audience. I was bored and not interested.
5 months and only 2 chapters later I'm calling it quits on this. How is 2 chapters over 100 pages?!?!? Maybe I'm just not the dark academia kind of gal but like nothing at all happened in 100 pages. Nothing! I decided to read a couple spoiler reviews of this book to see if the plot/payoff would be worth it. Umm, definitely not. Sad I let this sit for so long unread but I'm ready to move on to better books.
Graphic: Death, Alcohol
Read too much like a text book for me
