When I first started reading my thought was oh another Twilight spin off. And I still think that. The book was interesting, I finished it in a day and enjoyed my time. However, I didn't really connect with the characters. There is nothing saying oh I have to know more. I think the book had the potential to be great, but it fell flat.
Not as good as the first book in the series. Val's whinny narrator voice was getting on my nerves. And they changed the format of Fang's dialog so it was hard to know when he was speaking. I remember this book being better then it was this time around. As of now I am not sure why I ever went on to the third book.
This book leaves you shaking your head, and flipping pages to see how much more you have to endorse. It isn't that the plot is bad, that is one thing this series has going for it. Rather it is the ramblings of a teenage girl who think she is all that as she moons over her boyfriend. Also I do not like Shade, he is so two dimensional, which is ironic when you think about it.
As of the next book the only reason I would choose to read it is my OCD tendency to not leave a series unfinished. I truly have no desire to pick up the next book.
