I had no idea that this was the second book in the series until after I finished. For some reason, I thought it was a prequel. I knew I was missing a bit of world-building. I was just wrong about how I was missing it. Even still, I really enjoyed this novella. 

The book follows Willka, a dead elvish slave. Except he is brought back to life by a demon to enact vengeance on the city that caused not only his death but also the death of his love.
