I think the writing is beautiful but I didn't understand any of what was going on. 

 This is the story of Ruby, who has a business of ruining people's reputations. We follow her as she makes her last "hit" and then starts seeing supernatural things.
I think that there are going to be many people who love this book but it will definitely not be for everyone. I think that the characters are decently fleshed out, but at 33% in I am fed up with Ruby and the ways she is willing to put herself and her friends in danger.

I have only read a few translated works from Japanese and I am starting to realize that maybe the way that the Japanese people tell stories is not my favorite. I do think that the translation was well done and the audiobook narrator was fantastic, but the story was just okay to me. 
I thought that this story was going to be more about Baba Yaga and she was really only mentioned in passing which was a little disappointing. This book is also very gruesome which I understand during the time period is accurate but for such a short book it took me out of the story.
