I definitely feel like this is written for the mommas reading this book to their kids more than for the kids, but I loved it. This book is on the same level as I’ll Love You Forever for me. 

 

This is the perfect book for any child who has a love for the ocean or beach. This story helps to teach children about the importance of taking care of our planet so that the animals that live in our oceans and water systems are able to continue to grow and thrive. I think that this is also a great book to show representation of a different culture. I as an adult also loved reading about the authors story and why she became a diving instructor.

This is one of those book that show kids how even though we may feel lonely sometimes that there is always someone there who wants to help. I think that the story beautiful demonstrated the cycle of life and how living and nonliving things have a purpose on the earth. I can not wait to use this in a story time at my library. 

I think that the magic is cool in theory, but I am not invested in these characters
