Loved, loved, loved this. Gentle story about a summer post-trauma. Friendship and theater and a small mystery.

Most of my enjoyment of this book comes from descriptions of Holly's family--I have a friend who has a family almost exactly like this. Holly felt like a real teenager--definitely not perfect and definitely hard to love at times. The humor could use a slightly more deft touch, but looking forward to more from Goo.

One of the best historical fiction novels I've read in years. Listened to the audio version, and it's incredibly well done. You may know what's coming (biggest maritime disaster in history), and you're rooting for everyone to survive, but you know characters you love will die. And they do. And it breaks your heart. But it also makes you think about WWII in very different ways. Highly recommended.

Real struggle to get through this--so much slang, so long, so overdone. And so disappointed that the "diviners" never met up. I know it's part of a series, but I really expected at least a few of them to get together at some point.

But Libba Bray is absolutely delightful in person, and I feel bad about not really liking her books.

I thought I knew about Title IX. I didn't. Great introduction to this absolutely crucial piece of 20th century women's history. Blumenthal does a great job of using graphs, photos, and oral history to tell the story. Recommended.

Funny and delightful. Love that there's a male/female best friend combo with no falling in love.

I don't think I'll ever fully understand the stock market or the 1929 crash, but I feel like I understand a bit more after reading this.

Very cute, very funny book and magic and science and real estate development. The kids are hysterical, and there are some wonderful lines. The father is especially funny.
