If Hale could only imagine a world not completely and tediously built on heterosexuality (lazy world building) this would have been an excellent book.
This was a book I knew I had to read. I have to admit it was odd getting into it at first, especially as I didn't love the audiobook narrator's choices, but I'm really, really glad I read it. I see why this book has been so important, it redefines the Jewish story with how it imagines Dinah's, and other women's, perspectives.
This book was way too long, and mostly got interesting in the last three minutes. Could have been much less clunky and much shorter. Not really worth reading and seemed to have an offensive moment around the Deaf character.
