se une a Ripe, We do what we do in the dark y Sleepwalking a la lista de libros mesmerising y eye-opening que me dejan pensando y pensando meses después y que necesito YA en físico

dont get me wrong, i here for men being terrified of a creepy girl….
but i liked from carmilla the fact that i feel like we got to know her thoughts and her physiology more, what she cared for and her feelings. this book felt detached from the female vampire and the male 1st person pov took me away from the character i was interested in
medium-paced

chapter 3 is so incredibly sapphic omfg
i firmly believe that this book was solely written to make lesbian vampiress fanfiction about it🧛🏼‍♀️🫦🩸🏰

im not in the right headspace or situation for reading to be something that tires me and that i have to almost force myself to do. i need reads that motivate me and make me escape and this is not it. not because of its tone or theme (i chose to start it specifically because of that), but rather because the characters feel to rigid and stone-like to me, i couldn’t care about any of them, and so the book wasn’t entertaining or gripping me at all
