Beutiful and sad. A very interesting way of approaching a mystery of sorts. It's just great. Tore my heart and then put it back together.

It's a good allegory and a quick story, but pretty freaking grotesque.

It was funny and sad and wholesome and heartwarming and weird. If you liked Bojack Horseman, you will most likely enjoy this book. It has that recognizable Waksberg humor and storytelling style, and it works pretty well in written form. He palys to his strengths. Not perfect by any means, but then again, what is? 

It makes me sad how much i didn't like this one. The first half screams "men writing women" on multiple levels. Meaning that Musso is the man who wrote this female character, and the MC is also an author who wrote that very same female character.
That being said in the second half they, for the most part, stopped hyperfocusing on how long her legs are and how much she can eat without gaining weight, which was much appreciated.
However, Musso starts writing like he's trying to make a movie, and I mean that in the worst way possible. It just didn't work, the constant switching between scenes and characters. Useless distraction that would maybe make a good visual but this is a book after all. 
The twist in the end I didn't mind, because it's very characteristically Musso, but it could not save the whole book. It is unfortunate, just feels like a good premise waisted.

There is just something about reading other people's messages that makes for a good book. And ,for the most part, you get all the info before the reveal, to solve the mystery yourself. Or maybe the plot is just predictable, who knows.
