I absolutely adored this book and cannot wait to jump into the sequel. The writing is perfect in its balance of visual descriptives and use of multiple perspectives to propel this story forward.

Leigh Bardugo brought the Shadow and Bone trilogy to a fantastic end that is beautifully balanced in tragedy and happiness. Her writing gives vibrant visuals of the Grishaverse, along with a great story arc to Alina as she seeks out the balance in responsibility with her own desires for how her life will turn out. Very excited to continue on with the Grishaverse in the Six of Crows duo!

Overall, I thought Siege and Storm was a good sequel. While it wasn't as great as the first - Shadow and Bone - I recognize that it has the purpose of building the story before the final book. I greatly enjoyed the new characters added, the further character development of our beloved heroes, and the slow reveal of Alina's true power.

Behind Her Eyes is brilliant - you will not see the end coming! The story moves along very fast between multiple perspectives and flashbacks that are all written very well. Another bonus is that most of the chapters are very short.

Fredrik Backman does it again with this sequel from Beartown, and dare I say, I enjoyed it even more! Backman does a great job combining multiple perspectives and a fast-paced timeline of major events that happen, to capture a vibrant story that keeps you hooked and wanting more.
