I loved reading this contemporary mystery, which wasn't a typical Fredrik Backman novel. Anxious People felt like a big jigsaw puzzle I was given, but I didn't know what the overall picture was supposed to be. I really enjoyed how Backman connected it all and the small twists he added in to the characters' narratives.

I liked this cute, spooky themed graphic novel and absolutely adored the sibling relationship being a focal point to the storyline.

This was a fun dive back into our favorite magical world! I was definitely entertained by the overall story, but I didn’t love it/was not wowed by it. The plot just felt a little too unbelievable at times and it felt like there were too many big name, new characters (i.e. Ben Franklin) added that weren’t really necessary.

It’s a nice story if you’re  looking to read something new that gets you back into the wizarding world.

My expectations for this one were blown away! I really enjoyed the take on fate and the incorporation of the Chinese proverb of the red thread. The characters were so enjoyable (even though at times I wanted to shake them and scream "what are you doing?!"), and I loved seeing not only the relationships in this one grow, but also the individuals grow past their "flaws".

While there were good discussions here and there through the book about defiant joy and more so about living in a world full of hardships, I felt like there was a bit of a disconnect and that even thought the book is titled "Defiant Joy" there was more emphasis given to living in a world of hardship.

Another great one from T.J. Klune! I didn't love it as much as The House in the Cerulean Sea, but the exploration of grief/death and the incredible self growth of our main character was so great!

A very cute, summer camp story! I loved seeing how our main character grew into herself, yet remained true to who she was come the end of the story.

A very cute origin story for how Christmas was created. I would highly recommend reading this before watching the movie!
