This story is just not for me - I didn’t know much about it going in but at this point I’m kind of bored and not a big fan of the main characters.

Over 200 pages, I feel like I should care about what’s going on or at least be interested in the characters and sadly that’s not where I’m at. There’s just an overwhelming amount of world building that the plot is lost. 

I just don’t think I jive well with fiction that comes across as borderline nonfiction. Definitely a clever premise; but not one for me.

I just don’t think pirate stories are for me….

I couldn’t get myself interested in this; the overall concept isn’t my cup of tea and I found it hard to wrap my mind around.

I am so disappointed - I love the idea of this book and its world/the gods. But I just find myself not caring about the character and especially not caring about the romance.

I just can’t get into it - I’m not interested to read more with the violence that’s a part of the story.
