This book was so tropey but I still really enjoyed it! At some points it really did creep me out and the ending was great. Can't wait to start the next one.
Speak was one of the first YA books I ever read and was still too young to fully realize what rape was. This graphic novel was beautiful and true to the story and often times really sad. I’m glad this was transformed into a graphic novel for a new generation.
This book was REALLY good. Diversity. Mental illness. Art. Crazy fucking insane mothers. Siblings. Romance. It had it all for me. And the last sentence of each chapter was amazing. Some of the things that kiko did were maybeeee not super realistic but I still bought in to it and loved this book a lot.
I loved kindred. I wish the graphic novel could do it justice but it just couldn’t.
This book was so good! A more coherent review later.
Ok, I'm ready. The Belles was a fantasy novel where Belles are born with the ability to make people beautiful. At first, all the prose was not for me, it's not something I like to read and really think it's just filler. However, I got used to it and it really was beautiful with the story. The story itself was massive but I felt like it went at a really good pace and I was captivated throughout. I can't wait for the second one and where the story will go from here.

Dear god this book was so dull. The writing style was not for me and the big mystery was so boring. Once it was revealed I closed the book.
This book reminded me a lot of Love Letters to the Dead which I didn't enjoy that much either.
I had a hard time with this book. I never related to any of the characters and that might be because there were so many points of view in the book it was hard to pick up where we were in the story. Honestly, once the killer was revealed I returned the book not really caring about any of the other mysteries woven into the book. The writing was great but the story really wasn't all that great.
