I absolutely loved this! This was such a unique take on a romance novel and I literalyyyyyy cried when the MC met an author and the author said something g along the lines of , “I don’t care if people don’t read my books I just love doing it” idk man it hit me in the feels so hard.

Dnf 59% in. I asked a friend if it was worth finishing this and she said no hahahaha sooo here we go I have dnfed a Stephen king. This was more lit fix which is fine but not what I was expecting for sure. A few things didn’t work for me. The MC goes to his lake house and something is definitely happening and he’s just like 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️ the entire time and I have 300 pages left of it being explored MAYBE I just can’t. King had some conversations going on for 50 pages like my dude. No. I have stopped caring.

Amazing perfect wonderful

😭😭😭 Dnf 50% in ughhh I love Tia Williams but this book didn’t work for me at all. I tried to read this TWICE as an arc and kept putting it down so when I got the audio I was so excited because I figured it was just me being weird that I couldn’t get into it. No, I just don’t really like I writing of this one. The pacing of this book is so extremely slow and Ezra has some sort of secret that’s supposed to keep me interested but I wasn’t. I’m so sad.

I feel like Emiko Jean is such a treasure. I first read her YA books and loved them and when she moved to adult I was so excited! I love that she is trying different genres and really succeeding in them! I loved this one. It is super fast paced and there is a twist at the end where I literally said “omg what” out loud. Definitely recommend for thriller readers.

I really liked the first half of this one but somewhere along the way it became really slow and so boring.
