Damn I loved this book so much!!! I really loved Fox the most!! And I loved that epilogue!!!

4.5⭐️ but also just a 5⭐️ because I did really really like this book and all the characters. I also love the book references in this too. The romance in this book is definitely a much slower burn than the first book. Sometimes it was irritating because I wanted that romance to happen but then I also just liked getting to know all these characters and their drama. I listened to the audiobook while I also read this for some immersive reading which I liked too.

It’s corny, ridiculous, so entirely predictable, but I still liked it. The characters (“Pipes” not my favorite but her ridiculous character wasn’t so bad in the end) and the way they talked to each other (example: Calling Brendan’s hugs her “charging station”?!)… everything is so over the top but I don’t care (and I suspect Tessa did that on purpose and if she did then yes this deserves the 4⭐️). And now I can’t wait to read about Fox and Hannah.

Ya I love Oliver just as much and Jonah. ♥️

Jonah might be my new favorite book boyfriend. Damn I loved reading his pov. Knocked off a ⭐️ star because Carolina and her angst got on my nerves sometimes.

Another Scribd quick read. Thought I’d try my first Sylvia book. This was ok. Might try some of her other books.

It only took me over 6 months to finally finish reading this book. That’s all. Just a really long time to read 87 chapters!

I liked the story and the characters. The beginning and middle of the story was sooooo drawn out that I had to listen to the audiobook for the other half of the book just to finish reading (audiobooks immersive reading usually helps speed things along for me). The ending was really quick and not sure how I feel about John and Annie’s relationship when from super slow-burn/ enemies to lovers to quickly becoming an insta-love happily ever after.

Even though it did take me forever to read this book I did like it enough to give it a 3.75⭐️ (rounded to 4⭐️). Though I like Jenny’s Twelve Dates of Christmas a whole lot more. I am looking forward to reading her next book.

At first I wasn't so sure about reading this book. Mostly beause I prejudged this as a young adult book only. This was around 2001. The books at this time were given to my youngest sister (I was 22 at the time making her 16). She read them and then handed them to me hoping I'd read them -little sis knowing I love to read. I forgot about them until the first movie came out. I don't recall if I read the book first or saw the movie. But either way, I learned I was wrong to prejudge this series. Since then I've been hooked to everything Potter.

When the book 'Order of the Phoenix' was released in 2003, I was in the Navy. I was lucky enough to get 'Order of the Phoenix' and later 'Half-Blood Prince' in the Bloomsbury publishing editions. So as of now I currently own all 7 Scholastic hardcovers, 7 Scholastic paperbacks and 2 Bloomsbury hardcovers. As well as 'The Tales of Beedle the Bard' hardcover. And 'Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone,' 10th Anniversary Edition [Deluxe Edition] [Hardcover]. I also own all 8 of the movies (all special editions of course).

I am currently 36 years old and I'm still a fan. A fan of all Harry Potter. And a fan of J.K.Rowling -purchased ebook of 'Casual Vacancy' the day it was released.

Harry Potter is a very charming orphaned boy who finds out he can do magic. He then goes to this amazing school called Hogwarts. A school even I wish I could attend to.

Harry Potter bless you

4.5★

This has turned our to be one emotional roller-coaster like story for me. With a tissue box at hand.
I think it effected me more because I was in a big car accident in 2003 (car flipped over three times). I stayed overnight in the hospital with multiple major muscle strain in my neck and back.
And then a couple years ago my sister and (then 2 yo) niece was in a major car accident. They survived. Sister didn't have to stay for observation like I did though. She just had to stay awake most of the night poor thing, getting shuffled off to various doctors. And my niece (now 4) told me recently that she still remembered driving in an ambulance.

Thankfully Forman describes just the after effects. A tragic event is usually experienced (or felt that way) in slow motion, at least it did for me. So in a way, it's a blessing that Mia doesn't remember the car accident. The out-of-body experience storyline isn't a new one (there was even a show like this called Saving Grace). The writing is Young Adult and has flashbacks to help explain some parts in the now. I also felt that Mia was using these flashbacks as a way for her to ignore her current dilemma - should she stay alive or not? I think that whole what if thought had me in tears, along with the emotion of what happened to Mia's family.

I'm still haunted by this book, so I'm not in a rush to read the second one. I don't think this book left off with any cliffhangers. I will recommend this book, but with the understanding that it is a Young Adult theme with the teenager and love angst bits. I really liked all the characters. I thought the flashbacks slowed the pace a little, but the book was still a good suspenseful read
