The thing I liked best out of this ridiculous chick lit book was the beginning. And I love chick lit, just was disappointed with this one. A new-to-me author. Her writing style was ok. Might try one more of her books.

This story grabbed me at the beginning, but then just fell flat at the end. There was also a lot of unrealistic things, like how everyone just knew Dinah (the main character) even though she's been away for about 10 years. And the name Dinah?? Don't know anyone today with that name. Not even sure how to pronounce it.

The saving grace for me to finish this was the hero, Cord. Really liked him. He's the reason why this got bumped up a half of a star.

Took longer to read than the first book. Niece Ella wasn’t as interested but nephew Owen liked me reading it to him (a re-read for him). They’re now reading the 8th book.

This is a tradition in my family to read on Christmas Eve.

We play a gift wrap toss game. The gifts are random and surprises for all. While reading, we hand it to the left when the reader says Grinch and to the right when he/ she say Who. It's a fun game to play.
