I can’t believe I cared so much about these characters. In my opinion, this book could have been another 100 pages so we could fully explore Ash’s life as a reaper.
I will never forgive this author for spending half the book following Ash through such an amazing time in her life, introducing me to her family, her girlfriend, everything. Then she ripped it all away. And I was completely expecting it. Just not like that.
Raven's Peak had an interesting concept but I couldn't keep engaged enough to finish it. It didn't start strong with a long prologue containing a lot of world building and infodumping. I feel like a lot of what was written could be condensed and changed to fit a darker vibe (eg unwanted memory flashbacks). Overall, I found the characters bearable and some were likeable to an extent but the plot and writing style was what really put me off. I know I have no right to judge further than I've read so I can't give it a rating.
What I found out while reading this was that I'm definitely not a classics fan :)
Graphic: Emotional abuse, Sexual assault
Definitely read this to fill the Owl House shaped hole in my soul after finishing the series lol. I don't think it deserves a star rating cause, genuinely, just watch the show instead since it'll be better. Still enjoyed it though!
So interesting and I wish I'd read it sooner. This book deserves to be studied in school instead of dumb books by men about problems teenagers don't care about. A book written by a woman describing mental illness is something most teenagers want/need to be learning about and I really wish we could be learning it instead of Shakespeare etc. (or maybe i'm just salty)

I can never refuse a story with Achilles and Patroclus and Stephen Fry never disappoints! So it was a great story. I've never properly known the full story of the Trojan War and Stephen Fry always writes everything so it's easily to understand. Can't wait for The Oddessy!!
Definitely not as good as I thought it would be. Props to the writers of the show for deciphering what was going on cause if I never saw the show first, I would have no idea what was going on. Great graphics and character design though.
