This is the second book of the Dino learnt book series. I have read it several times both in hard copy and as an audio-book. This series is really recommended for someone learning German who do not want to be restricted to Children's books. They are the best books on the market for anyone at A1/A2 level.

In this book Dino goes to Frankfurt to meetup with his brother who is working in the Financial Services there. He still doesn't know what he wants to do with his life except that he will have to learn a bit more German if he wants to work in Germany.

As always the adventures of Dino in the book are amusing, you learn a bit about Frankfurt, you meet a new character and you get to meet up with a character from Cafe in Berlin. It's amazing how Andre Klein makes the most out of limited grammar and vocabulary to create a coherent story.

Recommended.

Not as entertaining as the Andre Klein books, and written for young teenagers, nevertheless a useful book to begin reading "auf Deutsch" at A2 level.

The Heuber productions try to introduce you to the more difficult words using pictures and explanations in German rather than direct translation into German. It is also really useful that they grade their difficulty on the from cover.

Here's hoping I will be reading at a B1 level comfortably by Christmas!

Truly the first time that I am 100% certain that a book meets the criteria of both Literary Fiction and Horror (rather than lying somewhere on the spectrum).

The House Albion would kick Shelly Jackson's Hill House in gutters, eviscerate it, rape it and then visit unimaginable tortures on it.

Ultimately though this is a book about Fascism and Trauma, its is a bleak battle to the end but it is not without hope.
