a re-reader...is that a word? :)

i like the malory family books

i have mixed feelings about this...i thought it was an inspiring book...and the teens had quite a story to tell...i listened to the audio book...so the stories almost came alive...but i'll honestly say...by the middle of junior year i was about to pull out my hair...if i had to hear one more story about escaping the drug war in the neighborhood or the creepy adult who touched them inappropriately i was going to drive off the road...which just points out that this was nonfiction not fiction so there wasn't a fast conclusion or "prettying up" of the storyline to make it more readable...i finished this and another memoir about the same time...i have determined that i'm not a memoir reader...day to day activites don't interest me too much...

I'm on page 55 and I'm already regetting the fact that I have other things to do today and can't spend the whole day reading...there are lots of secrets going on...as the title suggests...i thought i had kinda figured out the plotline but what i've just read has blown that whole thing out of the water...i'll keep you posted

so i did get something done that day...then i came home and was just going to read a chapter or two...or two more...or two more...next thing i know i'm sleeping and reading...interesting to do

it didn't go where i was thinking...i still liked where it went...although i seem to remember being left with a question or two
