12 - 14 Year Old Book Group - Hockessin Library - February 2024
I struggled a little with the back and forth but book group liked it.

Less plot then the last one. Still fun. Still fast.
Enjoyed the story.
Didn't enjoy how dismissive he was of her concerns. "It's my job." "Think of it like it's my job." My job doesn't get my partner and child kidnapped and held at gunpoint. It's more than a "job." It's a way of life.
Naively I also didn't like that their businesses were engaged in illegal activities. I want the fantasy that they are on the straight and narrow even though they are an MC.

Sentences left dangling.
Plot points left unresolved.
Positions that I don't think are possible.
Hockey doesn't have a halftime.
What did her jersey look like at the makeup game?
A sundress? In November or December? In Canada?
If she had just been on a multi-day road trip why did she need to search her parents house for toiletries and a phone charger?
How did Peter know she was at her parents?
