Lousia's hot and coldness was a little off putting.

And what the heck was up with the var accident. "She was distracted"? Weak.

I struggled a little at the beginning when everyone was being introduced but once that had happened I loved it. I loved how connected the story lines were. Not just the people but what Venetia saw and what Emma was trying to recreate.

Plot points from the previous books thrown into this one. So not really a stand alone.

Heavy handed with the political controversies.

Not great flow with the story line.

Maybe these need to be duets instead of trilogies. Each book would be a little longer.

And did anyone else think the next trilogy is being teased there towards the end?

The love letter at the end of the audio to romance readers - chef's kiss.

I struggled with the FMC at the beginning of the book. She wasn't exhibiting quite the behaviors I was expecting.

Hckessin Library Chick Lit Book Group - January 2025

There were parts I loved. And I loved the concept overall. But there were parts that solidly dragged.

Fast paced. A couple of times information was duplicated within a couple of paragraphs. Like a rewrite was done but re-read was not done after the rewrite.
