It was a 4 until the intimate scene with the hurt ankle.

Least favorite of the three. The first was a nice pace. The second slowed down some. This one dragged and had way too much going on.

I'm not going to give it a ranking cause I feel like that might be a little unfair. It is a well written story and poses some very interesting questions. It is not my cup of tea though so I spent part of the book lost and part of the book unengaged with what was happening.

The ending kind of fell apart.

So much repetition about how they've been friends since they were 8 and how they know each other so well.
I also feel like we missed details about his time in California and what things were like for Joey in her home town.
